Lately

This little monkey was a bit proud of himself for getting up on his chair!

We spent a morning the other week in the garden with the dogs running round, Cadell loved that and was a little bit sad that he couldn't chase after the dogs! Won't be long before he is though...

Its been a funny week as Matt has been off sick all week. I find it difficult to stick to my usual schedule when he's home, so I don't feel like everything has got done. But that is ok. Matt's birthday tomorrow, not sure what we are doing for it yet, maybe go out for a later lunch (after Cadell wakes up from his nap) and not too much else as he is still not 100%.

Only 1 more week (next week) of school, and then the following week I will work 1 day and the other 2 days Cadell will stay in Daycare and I have a long long list of Spring Cleaning/Decluttering to get done. I have started on it a tiny bit already as there is so much I want to get done. The week after that, I have the full week off work and Cadell is not going to daycare. Mum and Dad are going to visit, and the backyard renovations will be underway.  We had a little look at pavers and turf this morning, and Matt is looking into all the options of what we want to do out there.

It is going to be a busy couple of weeks/month. I can't believe it will be christmas in a few short months. I'm feeling a little less under pressure this year though, we are going to Stanthorpe for Christmas and not going up to Rocky until January, for a combined Christmas/Selwyn's 70th.
It will mean I don't have to stress about getting all the gifts before Christmas, and might even be able to get some in the sales after Christmas! Which would be nice, definitely want to save money. I would also like to have a look into doing some handmade gifts, I have been looking at pinterest for some ideas. I really want to make some time to start using my sewing machine properly!

Bethan's Birth story

In the week or so leading up to Bethan's due date I had been having a lot of painful braxton hicks which we thought may have been the start of labour, but unfortunately did not eventuate. On Friday the 20th March I had my 40+2 appointment, where they did a stretch and sweep and the Dr said he thought I would go into labour that night or the next day as I was 3 cm dilated already, my waters were bulging and everything was looking favourable. I had some contractions Saturday morning but they fizzled out. Then on the Monday I had more contractions and bub wasn't moving as much so we went in to be monitored. She had a few decelerations but everything was fine in the end. They did another stretch and sweep and I had to go back in the morning for my 41 week appointment. They booked my induction for Friday 27th and I was to ring at 6 am to find out when to go in. I rang and was told there was no beds and they would ring again in the afternoon to let me know. In the afternoon they
