Postpartum recovery

Last pregnancy weight was 92kgs approx.

1 week pp i was 85.5kgs.

2 weeks pp i was 84.5kgs.

3 weeks pp im 83.1kgs.

Postpartum recovery with Liam has been better in many ways than with Cadell, but also worse!

Initally i felt better straight after delivering (went home 7 hrs after birth!) due to fast and uncomplicated delivery.

But then i started having horrible pains in my stomach ( felt like labour pains but constant) which eased only with panedene forte. Went to drs and he did tests, warned about a pp hemorrage, and i had to go back to drs in a few days for results. Ended up with an infection called endometritis. So i was on two strong antibiotics for that.

On top of all this (the unterine infection made my tummy very sore and bleeding worse etc) i have now developed bronchitis i think. Liam has been really good though.

I am just really looking forward to feeling well again and up to doing things. I want to be fit and healthy, dont mind so much about the sleep depravation (although hopefully Liam will just continue to do longer stretches as he has been the angel!) just want to feel like i can pick up Cadell without damaging something!

18 months old

Our little boy is a year and a half! Time is flying by at the moment. So far, he hasn't been saying too much, but I think he has been trying to say a few things such as 'truck' and babbling in his own lanaguage. He also says 'Yeah' when we ask him something and its something he wants! He is understanding so much now though. We can ask him questions and he definitely knows what we are saying and what he wants/doesn't want!! if we ask him 'where's your tummy/nose/mouth/etc' he will find them and point. He is running everywhere, loves kicking balls around the house + outside, although when he is outside he seems to prefer to explore, try and dig with a little shovel, and play in water! He is fascinated with spinning around at the moment, I think he likes the dizzy feeling he gets!

Daycare

This week has been a funny week, I didn't go to work at all on Monday as Cadell was coughing so much he was vomiting and just generally not well so I didn't want to send him to daycare. On Tuesday he was still not well, so I took him to the Doctors early, and he gave us antibiotics for two inflamed ears. He said he was ok to send to daycare though, so I took him to daycare where there was a new person looking after him. I wasn't too happy about leaving him, he was upset and I didn't like to leave him with a new person when he was already unwell and upset. But I had to go to work. Wednesday I was feeling sick but I went to work, I phoned daycare at lunch and they said he was upset and not eating so I left work and went to take him home. So today I am full of cold, Cadell seems a little better but still not eating well so I am going to make him pancakes for morning tea when he wakes up to see if he will eat them.
