Library Books January 12th

Our Library books this week.

This book 'Spoon' was quite good, little bit old really but Cadell seems to enjoy it.

This one is cute, rhyming which we like and perfect age group for Cadell.

This one has lovely illustrations, not too many words and is great.

Cadell wants this every night, probably because of the dog, but it is a lovely book.

This one is a counting board book, quite nice.

This one is to teach I'm sorry, not sure that Cadell really likes it though.

This one is a bit silly really but I think Cadell likes the chooks in it.

This one is very much too old for Cadell, but it is quite funny and a new book.

Beach

Our trip to the beach at Redcliffe this weekend.

Our little boy is a year and a half! Time is flying by at the moment. So far, he hasn't been saying too much, but I think he has been trying to say a few things such as 'truck' and babbling in his own lanaguage. He also says 'Yeah' when we ask him something and its something he wants! He is understanding so much now though. We can ask him questions and he definitely knows what we are saying and what he wants/doesn't want!! if we ask him 'where's your tummy/nose/mouth/etc' he will find them and point. He is running everywhere, loves kicking balls around the house + outside, although when he is outside he seems to prefer to explore, try and dig with a little shovel, and play in water! He is fascinated with spinning around at the moment, I think he likes the dizzy feeling he gets!

Daycare

This week has been a funny week, I didn't go to work at all on Monday as Cadell was coughing so much he was vomiting and just generally not well so I didn't want to send him to daycare. On Tuesday he was still not well, so I took him to the Doctors early, and he gave us antibiotics for two inflamed ears. He said he was ok to send to daycare though, so I took him to daycare where there was a new person looking after him. I wasn't too happy about leaving him, he was upset and I didn't like to leave him with a new person when he was already unwell and upset. But I had to go to work. Wednesday I was feeling sick but I went to work, I phoned daycare at lunch and they said he was upset and not eating so I left work and went to take him home. So today I am full of cold, Cadell seems a little better but still not eating well so I am going to make him pancakes for morning tea when he wakes up to see if he will eat them.
