It's the weekend

It's the weekend finally. Matt has had a big week at work this week, and Cadell and I have had a big week of teething - no sleep. His top teeth are pushing through gradually though, and we got some biltong (south African jerky which is good for teething apparently) today to try.

Wednesday was Anzac day, and my parents visited for the day. We spent a lovely day having fish and chips at redcliffe , driving out to see Ben and kristas block of land, and just generally spending time together. Cadell loves seeing is grandparents. Mum has knitted him a lovely warm jumper and it has turned cool, so I've no doubt he will be using it soon. Winter is fast approaching..

This morning Matt let me have a few extra hours in bed which was lovely as today it is drizzling rain, so perfect sleep in day. Cadell was up a few times again last night so it is nice to get s bit of catchup sleep.

We haven't got much planned for the weekend, from the looks of this rain we will be staying indoors the whole time!

Nothing really to update, although my morning sickness has improved a lot and my back and neck have been pretty good too as long as I don't overdo it. We are going away this weekend which is very exciting. The boys have been challenging as I have been doing a lot myself with Matt working at the old house a few nights and on the weekend, but we handed that over on Sunday so happy to have that done. As far as we know it all went well we didn't hear anything so the cleaning etc must have been fine. Gender scan next Friday!

Beach

Our trip to the beach at Redcliffe this weekend.

18 months old

Our little boy is a year and a half! Time is flying by at the moment. So far, he hasn't been saying too much, but I think he has been trying to say a few things such as 'truck' and babbling in his own lanaguage. He also says 'Yeah' when we ask him something and its something he wants! He is understanding so much now though. We can ask him questions and he definitely knows what we are saying and what he wants/doesn't want!! if we ask him 'where's your tummy/nose/mouth/etc' he will find them and point. He is running everywhere, loves kicking balls around the house + outside, although when he is outside he seems to prefer to explore, try and dig with a little shovel, and play in water! He is fascinated with spinning around at the moment, I think he likes the dizzy feeling he gets!
