It's the weekend

It's the weekend finally. Matt has had a big week at work this week, and Cadell and I have had a big week of teething - no sleep. His top teeth are pushing through gradually though, and we got some biltong (south African jerky which is good for teething apparently) today to try.

Wednesday was Anzac day, and my parents visited for the day. We spent a lovely day having fish and chips at redcliffe , driving out to see Ben and kristas block of land, and just generally spending time together. Cadell loves seeing is grandparents. Mum has knitted him a lovely warm jumper and it has turned cool, so I've no doubt he will be using it soon. Winter is fast approaching..

This morning Matt let me have a few extra hours in bed which was lovely as today it is drizzling rain, so perfect sleep in day. Cadell was up a few times again last night so it is nice to get s bit of catchup sleep.

We haven't got much planned for the weekend, from the looks of this rain we will be staying indoors the whole time!

3d scan pictures

At 36 weeks we got a 3d/4d scan done, it was amazing to see the detail!

13 months old

Today our beautiful boy is 13 months old! I can't believe how the time is flying. I think its only going to get worse! He is changing so rapidly these days, losing his baby look and becoming a little boy. He is so close to walking. This weekend he was attempting to take some hesitant steps to me or Daddy, and standing by himself for longer. He is still apprehensive though. Tooth number 5 is almost through, and tooth number 6 is on its way also. He is still sleeping great, 12 hrs most nights, and when we are at home at least a 2 hr nap. At daycare he isnt napping well though, which makes for a very tired and cranky little boy when we collect him. No real words yet apart from 'Mumma' and 'Dada', he does a lot of pointing and 'Dat' and 'Dere' especially when we are looking for birds which he loves. Hes waving, and we are currently showing him how to blow kisses. Dada has started putting him to bed occasionally, this came out of neccessity...

18 months old

Our little boy is a year and a half! Time is flying by at the moment. So far, he hasn't been saying too much, but I think he has been trying to say a few things such as 'truck' and babbling in his own lanaguage. He also says 'Yeah' when we ask him something and its something he wants! He is understanding so much now though. We can ask him questions and he definitely knows what we are saying and what he wants/doesn't want!! if we ask him 'where's your tummy/nose/mouth/etc' he will find them and point. He is running everywhere, loves kicking balls around the house + outside, although when he is outside he seems to prefer to explore, try and dig with a little shovel, and play in water! He is fascinated with spinning around at the moment, I think he likes the dizzy feeling he gets!
